Incident Response Plan Flowchart Template

A simple three-step flowchart that walks through how to handle incidents. It starts with a “Diagnose” entry point on the left, moves through three steps in the middle, and ends with “Solve” on the right. Everything is connected with a dashed line so the flow is easy to follow.

The three steps are Understand (figure out what happened and how bad it is), Prepare (decide what to do, who does it, and what you need), and Test (run through it to make sure the plan actually works). There’s a timeline bar at the top with dates and a 01-02-03 numbering at the bottom.

Comes in a dark version and a light version. 16:9. Works in PowerPoint and Google Slides. All text and shapes are editable.

When You’d Use This

Security teams use it for tabletop exercises and training. IT managers present it during incident reviews. Compliance teams include it in audit documentation for ISO 27001 or SOC 2. Business continuity planners use it to walk staff through emergency procedures.
